A: A partner is not essential to take part as we rotate the leads and follows around the class regularly so everyone get's a chance to dance with everyone else.
A: If you come along with someone you'd like to stick with all night, that's absolutely fine; just let your teacher know at the beginning of the class. You should note however that the best way to improve your social dancing and, arguably, to have more fun in the class, is to take advantage of the opportunity to rotate and dance with lots of different people.
A: Dress in clothes you feel comfortable in and can move around in easily. Footwear should be supportive without too much grip; it will be hard on your knees if your shoes stick to the floor (no spiky heels please).
